Practical film resources reframing perceptions of exercise for girls
OVERVIEW
Women in Sport’s Daughters and Dads Active and Empowered is a free physical activity and education programme for girls and their fathers/father-figures who want to be more active together.
The award-winning programme supports families to be more physically active, increase sport skills proficiencies and improve girls’ confidence, resilience, social and emotional well-being.
CHALLENGE
To create 35x unique 30-40’ activity films to match face-to-face delivery, as part of new digital resources for the programme.

“I used to feel really insecure in P.E. because I couldn’t do it the first time. But now I have definitely learnt new skills that I can use in sport and now feel like if I keep trying, I will get there.”

“5/5. We enjoyed the films so much, it shows we don't need to do expensive things with our girls, just throwing and catching balls made their little faces light up! 👍 Well done 👏”

What the stakeholders think
“Our families have really valued the high quality production of these new digital activity resources.
It has helped them transition between face-to-face and virtual delivery with ease, remaining engaged and helping the whole family have fun. Practising their sports skills and getting creative with at-home challenges at the same time.”
