Dylan and Sophie speak about the importance of involving young people when designing new sport facilities.
DYLAN AND SOPHIE'S FIRST EVER PUBLIC SPEAKING
We support young people across the UK breakthrough to play, redesign, work and grow from sport.
Using the power of creativity and youth co-creation, our work helps them take part in sport, build life and employability skills, design and deliver real-world projects, and create career opportunities.
Every young person will have the right to design how they breakthrough into sport.
Our direct delivery for young people is underpinned by educating why, and how, the sport sector, associated sectors and wider society should be working directly with our future leaders.
We make sure young people have a platform for their voices, find themselves in the right rooms and speak directly with decision makers.
Combining delivery and education is how we believe long-term change for young people to access sport will happen.
Our youth network is called Coaches Corner – diverse young people across the UK aged 14-23 who support our mission and work.
Members gain skills, have paid work, develop their own projects, support our direct delivery, speak at events and conferences, given networking opportunities and educate decision makers.
They ensure everything we do is youth led, so youth voices and ideas are heard, and acted on.
